The buyer of this coloring book gets to meet Ian Beck, the world famous illustrator.
Then Mr. Beck, famous for the “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” album cover, will be forced to listen to his life’s greatest hits.
The coloring book is called “The Bespoke Coloring Book” because both style and content are up to the purchaser.
Ian Beck said:
“I anticipate that the type of subjects people would like to have illustrated include: a portrait of themselves; pets; home; favorite holiday resort; family at their favorite restaurant; cottage in the country, etc. This is an amazing keepsake and heirloom in the making for the family.”
Once the pictures have been drawn on handmade paper, they will be hand bound (naturally).
Each book will have an embossed leather cover, with the owner’s name in 24-carat gold foil.
It’s touted as the first “luxury” coloring book.
If you are more geek than sheik, try coloring books based on the Witcher or wait until 2018 for Marvel Comics Adult coloring books.
Meanwhile, the $30,000 book is being sold on the website VeryFirstTo, an online store for the ultra wealthy.
It’s only 10 pages long.
