A man sought by British police taunted law enforcement with a series of Where’s Waldo? themed Facebook posts before turning himself in while dressed in full Waldo gear.
JJ McMenamin, 30, was wanted by North Yorkshire Police after he failed to attend court for alleged driving offenses.
He taunted police in a series of posts and videos on his Facebook page, including sharing a photo of his head superimposed on an image of children’s book character Where’s Waldo (“Where’s Wally” in the U.K.) with the caption, “Dude… I’m right here.”
In one video, the joker laughs as he plays Lionel Richie’s Hello, which contains the line “is it me you’re looking for?”, and the Spencer Davis Group’s Keep On Running.
He changed his Facebook cover photo to a picture of Where’s Wally in a police mugshot, with the caption “Hide Seek Champion 2016-2017”.
On Saturday police dispatched search dogs and helicopters to capture McMenamin after he slipped out of their fingers once again when they showed up at his house to take him in, reports said.
McMenamin then, however, decided to turn himself Monday morning, recording his ride to the station in full Waldo gear.
In the video, he told his Facebook followers: “I’m right outside the cop shop now.”
“There’s f***ing buzzies everywhere.”
